Our Grinding career In 1982 we had a 42" and 60" blanchard grinder, we were able to grind a plate of steel flat and parallel. We supplied the local shops with steel plate. In 1991 we got bigger blanchard grinders. The customer's jobs grew bigger, we had to keep up with demand. In 2022 we invested in 2 more Blanchard grinders. Capable of spinning larger pieces at a faster rate, we can take our expertise to new levels. Today, our Blanchard Grinding systems provide grinding capacities up to - 36" tall, 128" diameters, flat and parallel within .003". Larger cutting capabilities are available.

Our Flame-cutting career In 1982 we got our photo-cell, it was a torch cutting machine that had a camera. You would trace out the drafted print and it would transfer the cut into the steel. In 1991 we got a new cnc torch cutting machine. We were now able to get rid of the drafting table and everything was done on the computer. We would simply load a file in to the machine and you would cut to the file. In 2022 we invested in a new machine. Made for durability and speed, equipped with a plasma and torch cutter, we can take our expertise to new levels. Today, our CNC Oxy-Fuel and Plasma Cutting systems provide cutting capacities up to - 8 foot widths, 20 foot lengths and a maximum thickness of 7 inches. Larger cutting capabilities are available.

A: Depending on the job, it takes on average 1 to 2 weeks. Q: Do you cut and weld and grind the pieces? A: Yes! We love doing weldments! Q: I just need a small plate, to fix my excavator, but it needs to be this shape. A: No problem! Our team can help you, even for the small emergency projects! Q: How accurate are the plates you supply? A: Most plates are flat and parallel +/-.005", a surface ground finish +/-.001" Q: What do you mean, flame-cutting? A: We use an oxygen based system and use a torch to pierce and cut thru the steel. Q: What do you mean, blanchard grinding? A: We use a machine that the table is a spinning magnet and the head is spinning stones to remove the material.

Our Machining career In 1982 we had gotten a lucas 3axis boring mill, we primarily used it for ripping stock off the plate before grinding. This machine is still used today. In 2022 we invested in 2 new cnc machines and we acquired an IMSA Gundrill. Now capable of machining large pieces with incredible accuracy, we can take our machining expertise to new levels. Today, our CNC machining and Gundrill department is primarily machining rails and manifold spacers complete, providing customers with the ultimate one stop shop for cut & grind & machined complete parts shipped in a timely manner.
